Back To Church: Centenary Celebrations Sunday 23 March
It’s not every day you turn 100, it’s not every day a man rises from the dead and claims to be God, it’s not every day the Bishop comes to Walgett. So you are warmly invited to celebrate and give thanks at Back To Church Sunday: Centenary Celebration – 9am Sunday 23 March, St Peter’s Anglican Church, 21 Pitt St., Walgett.
This will be a morning to give thanks to God for 100 years of the Anglican Diocese of Armidale serving our district with the hope and good news of Jesus Christ. It is also an opportunity to thank you for helping us and allowing us to serve you. It doesn’t matter how long since you’ve been, or even if you’ve never been to church, you are very welcome.
Our guest speaker will be Rick Lewers, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Armidale. Children are very welcome to join our church service and (if they like) head-out for Sunday Club midway through the service. The service will finish with a morning tea.
A Back To Church: Centenary Celebration service will also be held Sunday 23 March 3.30pm at St John’s Anglican Church Collarenebri, 58 Wilson St, followed by supper.
To help us with numbers for catering and organization, it would be great to know if you will join us. Please reply to Tory or Jo at The Vicarage: firstname.lastname@example.org or 6828 1590, preferably before Friday 14 March.
We look forward to having you join us on Back To Church Sunday. If you are unable to come, thank you for your association with the church in the past, and we look forward to welcoming you back some day soon.
God bless, Tory Cayzer
Minister for Barwon District Anglican Churches.
