On Wednesday the 5th of July 2017 three 15 year old females and a 17 year old female from Walgett were charged by Police with two counts of Larceny after it is alleged she stole property from two vehicles parked in Alex Trevallian Park in Walgett the previous evening. They will face Walgett Children’s court for these matters.
On Wednesday the 5th of July 2017 a 33 year old male from Moree was charged with breaching his bail conditions on eight separate occasions. He attended Walgett Local court that day and was granted conditional bail.
On Friday the 7th of July 2017 Walgett Police charged a 29 year old male from Walgett with an outstanding Prison Warrant after he was sighted at an address in Arthur Street, Walgett. The male ran from police jumping a couple of fences and was apprehended in Richie Street, Walgett. He was bail refused and later conveyed to Dubbo where he was placed in the custody of Corrective Services.
On Friday the 7th of July 2017 Walgett Police charged a 22 year old male from Walgett with an outstanding Prison Warrant after he was located by police at the intersection of Pitt and Arthur Street, Walgett. He was later conveyed to Dubbo where he was placed in the custody of Corrective Services.
On the 7th of July 2017 police attended a residential address in Warrena Street, Walgett, and observed a 39 year old male at that address who had an outstanding Prison Warrant. Police approached the male and informed him he was under arrest. He became agitated and quickly walked inside the premises. He was later heard to be climbing out a side window. Police again approached him and advised him he was under arrest. He ran from police and was apprehended a short time later and conveyed to Walgett Police station. He was charged with the outstanding Warrant as well as Common Assault from an outstanding incident in May 2017. He was refused bail and conveyed to Dubbo where he was placed in the custody of Corrective services.
On the 8th of July 2017 a 15 year old male from Walgett was issued with a court attendance notice for Driver Never Licensed after he was sighted riding a motor cycle earlier in the week. He will attend Walgett children’s court for this matter.
On Sunday the 9th of July 2017 a 30 year old male from Walgett was arrested by police after it is alleged he punched his partner to the mouth and later tackled her to the ground. As a result of this incident he was charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Common Assault and was given conditional bail to attend Walgett Local court on the 11th of July 2017.
