Walgett Lambs and the Coonamble Junior Rugby Union Side made the most out of the professional development day and the NSW Rugby Union Staff. The kids really got into it despite the cold and wet conditions learning new passing and kicking techniques which will put them in good stead for their upcoming games.
The Rams also had a pearler of a day smashing Coonamble 36 to 0 which leaves them currently 4 from 4 in what we hope sets the tone for the rest of the season.
The Walgett Pizzles were eager to play, unfortunately Coonamble couldn’t drum up a team to travel to Walgett on Saturday so the boys were left off the hook with their pride and bodies intact!!!
The Ladies day was a hit despite the rain with the tents and bar keeping everyone dry and merry. The catering was absolutely delicious with a smorgasbord of tantalizing finger food and desserts made by Nancy’s Catering, Sarah Wickman and the Parents of the Walgett Lambs. The organisers did a fantastic job decorating the tent and making it feel inviting for both Walgett and Coonamble Ladies.
As always a great day enjoyed by all and some rain to boot!!!
