Looking forward the 2 biggest dates coming up are 29th July when Walgett Lambs host a family day at the Rugby. At this stage we have 4 Development offices attending for a massive skills session followed by games. Been a development day children don’t have to be registered players to attend. The jumping castle is booked for the littlies.
Anyone interested in seeing grass roots rugby at its best in the Western Plains of NSW is welcome to attend. Walgett lambs will toast to 15 years of Junior Rugby in Walgett which may not seem long but a milestone almost not reached. We invite all Walgett Lambs Families past and present to share stories, photos and a beer. We will also welcome our sponsors for the day. A luncheon tent will be operating for anyone interested in attending for a minimal fee. To continue to grow rugby in Walgett we need a combined rugby community, please join us on this journey.
This day will also see a top of the table clash with Warren for the Rams. It will be a real day for all Walgett Rugby enthusiasts to enjoy. This is a day for everyone In Walgett Rugby and the Walgett Community.
The 29th of July will also be a Batyr Fundraiser 1 Sock 1 Goal. The senior players will all be wearing colourful Batyr socks. The Gate will be gold coin entry with all money from the gate and the gate raffle going to Batyr. The Rams and Lambs are working together to support Batyr.
On the 20th August Western Plains Junior Rugby will hold a Gala day in Coonamble. The day will see Western Plains Juniors come together to run a Gala day. While we will combine to run the gala day each club will be striving on getting as many members on the field as they can.
